Bonnie Hunt (born September 22, 1961) is known as an American actress and comedian. Her film roles include Rain Man, Beethoven, Beethoven's 2nd, Jumanji, Jerry Maguire, The Green Mile, Cheaper by the Dozen, and Cheaper by the Dozen 2. In animation, Hunt has voiced characters in A Bug's Life, Zootopia, and the Monsters, Inc., Cars, and Toy Story series. She was a leading actress in Grand and Davis Rules, and wrote, produced, and acted in The Building, Bonnie, and Life with Bonnie. She was the host of The Bonnie Hunt Show from 2008 to 2010. Early life Bonnie Hunt, born on September 22, 1961, hails from Chicago, Illinois. Her parents were Robert Edward Hunt (1927-1981), an electrician, and Alice E. Hunt (née Jatczak) (1925-2021). Her father was from Irish and Belgian descent, and her mother is of Polish heritage. She grew up with three older brothers named Patrick, Kevin, and Tom, two older sisters named Cathy and Carol, and a younger sister named Mary. She was educated in Catholic schools, going to Saint Ferdinand School and Notre Dame High School for Girls in Chicago, working part-time as a nurse's aide. In 1982, Hunt began her career as an oncology nurse at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. Two years later, in 1984, she co-founded a comedy troupe known as An Impulsive Thing. In 1986, Hunt joined Chicago's famed Second City troupe. In 1988, during her time as a nurse, Hunt took a lunch break to audition for the role of waitress Sally Dibbs in Rain Man and won it.
